        Comments from Utopians:

"Massage was good and the place was really clean with crisp linen on the massage table. Staff speak only Bahasa Indonesia so there can be a language barrier. I was the only person there apart from two young male receptionists and masseurs. I was taken to the 'Cemara Room' (gay room), but there was no interaction with staff apart from meet/greet and providing ginger tea. For R$50,000 good value for money." -- OzinJakarta, Nov 12, 2008

"I went to some of Indonesian traditional massage places with blind masseurs. Most of the places were dirty. This is the cleanest one in West jakarta. The pleasant thing is that I only paid R$50,000 and the masseur did not care if I played with other guests. After 3pm you can meet guys in their 30s here." -- resario, Nov 9, 2008

    • Friendly Body Scrub Massage
Jln Matraman 59, appointments: 081-2883-3890, email. Massage for men. In or out call.

    • Mandiri Massage (mixed)
1-E Jln Tanah Abang II, 381-2662. Aside from massage from blind masseurs, this place is also a popular PLU cruising place where gays go to socialize.

      Comments from Utopians:

"Just went to the Intercontinental Mid Plaza Hotel to try a masseur. There are two male therapists. Average quality. No naughty service. Steam room and jacuzzi were empty. No people there, just me. It cost R$400,000. Not interesting." -- sukaberenang, Jan 1, 2009

Saunas and Fitness for Men

    • Meridien Hotel (mixed)
        Mostly straight crowd.
    • Millenium Sauna and Fitness Centre (mixed)
4/F Millenium Hotel, 3 Jln Fachrudin, Jakarta Pusat, 230-3636. Jakarta's most popular sauna for PLUs. Crowd is mostly Chinese.
    • Mulia Hotel (mixed)
Gym and sauna. It's very discreet and very clean. Jacuzzi and steam room. The best time to go is after 8pm. The crowd is both locals and foreigners.

    • Sultan Hotel (mixed)
Sauna is reported to be popular with gays. Be discreet.

      Comments from Utopians:

"Most male spas in Jakarta run from dirty to filthy. I have attended the Millenium Sirih hotel spa - again not clean, but tolerable. Sauna, whirlpool and steam room. Mostly middle aged chubby Chinese. It runs at R$190,000-280,000 for 50-90 minutes. It does allow you to use the spa." -- BrianJakarta, Sep 30, 2009
