Most popular clubs and discos in Jakarta are places to meet gay people. Be advised that nightclubs may close during the Ramadan holy month.

- 1/F The Bellagio Boutique Mall, Mega Kuningan, Utopia Map, 9130-8423, email. Apollo is a gay/mixed dance club concept, which targets the upscale gays and their fun-fabulous friends. Located in the center of the business and leisure district, which is safe and secure, with plenty of B/F parking. The island bar has a pole in the center and large dance floor/stage, spectacular lasers and semi-private sofa sections. They have lipsync shows, dance performances and contests every weekend. They serve generous, creative special cocktails, beer, wine and bottle sales. Classic music, RnB and New Wave retro hits until midnight, followed by a progressive mix of sexy and electro music. Nightly first drink entrance charge. Open WedSun 10pm-4am with different programs each day (check their website for events and activities).

- Red Square (mixed)
- 1/F Plaza Senayan Arcadia Bld, 9 Jln New Delhi, 5790-1281, email. Attracts upscale expatriates and professional Indonesians. Chic vodka bar with fabulous signature cocktails. Gays mix in freely here with their friends, especially on the weekends. However, transgender or drag queens are not allowed.

- Disco and pub which is popular with gays.
- Moonlight (mixed)
- 120 Jln Hayam Wuruk (at Olimo, next to Suisse Bakery, on the corner of Hayam Wuruk St and Mangga Besar St), Jakarta Pusat, 625-2162. Small and fun disco, but definitely not upscale. Young gays, transgenders and lesbians on Wed, Fri and Sat nights. Dark spaces to sit and cruise. Beware of hustlers.
- Stadium (mixed)
- Just off Jln Hayam Wuruk, Kota (just up from the Moonlight Discotheque). Popular dance club. Reportedly gay-friendly. Wed, Fri and Sat night are busiest after midnight and jammed after 3am.
