"I have been to Blueboy on Sun night and there was a great fun among young and old. The place is big enough and it attracts a lot of students as young as 19. The music was hot and it rocked the whole place." -- j799799, Dec 30, 2007
"I went to Blueboy last Sat after midnight. A lot of people. A mix of races; caucasian, black, Malay, etc. Saw many nice guys there. Around 2am was a dance show and it was quite interesting. Although not a clean place, it is really not that bad. The entrance fees was R$20 and included a free drink. But I think one drink is not enough, if they want people to stay a bit longer." -- gold_exp, Nov 3, 2007
"I went to Blueboy last Fri and I really had fun. Loads of people say that it's a sleazy place and stuff, but I really think it's fun, not dirty. People are friendly, not snobish." -- sportguy, Sep 8, 2007
"I have been to a few PLU spots in KL but i still find that the best spot is BlueBoy discotheque. I Know that the place has its ups and downs, but there is no comparing to its atmosphere. They have better drag shows these days. They could improve a little on the music side and be open to a new interior. Still 'BB' rocks." -- julia24, Aug 24, 2007
"I agree with alexbam's and jon_guy1's comments. Blue Boy is getting dirty and not in a sexy way. There's one pissing wall and one loo. Sometimes there's no water and I've never seen any tissue paper inside the washroom. I also am bored now especially when the trannies have their so-so song-and-dance routine. Yes, the dance tunes are not up-to-date. I could even DJ for them just by using my iPod. People who like Malays and Indians do go here and I think that's why most of the GWM frequent it. Blue Boy can be considered a pick-up point masquerading as a bar." -- riverrobles, Oct 23, 2006
"Checked out Blue Boy last night after reading jon_guy1's review below. Sad to report that what he said was right -- the place was like two unfurnished shoplots with a bar counter and some chairs and tables placed here and there. The sitting area reeked of urine. Crowd-wise, youngish with some farangs. I left after 20 minutes." -- alexbam, Oct 19, 2006
"Went here for the first time on Sun. Many transgenders going here. Certainly not many leng chai or fit guys. The toilets are bad. The music not good. Certainly can't shake comers to dance. They just stand and watch. BB should have somebody to kick start things, the DJ role is important. A lot of renovation needs to be done and activities need to be conducted." -- jon_guy1, Oct 19, 2006
"Blue Boy has been expanded and now includes a chill area and new toilets. It is still as busy as ever. It starts to get crowded after 11pm. The entry charge is R$18 including first drink. My only complaint is the prices on soft drinks: I noticed that they are pouring 4 drinks from a small bottle of 7up and after already paying the entry charge they wanted R$20 extra for a full bottle of 7up (which I refused). This is double what I would pay in any London club." -- Luap, Feb 24, 2006
OTHER AREAS
"Nuovo is an interesting place in KL. It is open on Wed, Fri and Sat nights from 11pm. It is a dimly lit place and is not necessarily the cleanest, but it is fun, with a large dance floor and lots of sitting and viewing areas. Drinks are in the range of R$20." -- emantas, Aug 18, 2007
"Nuovo has to be the most popular venue now for Sat nights. Open also with a good crowd on Fri." -- backstroke, Apr 9, 2007
"Maison Club: went there for PrinceWorld party. Although it was Sun, still a lot of leng chai and fit guys enjoying themselves there. Even though it is still new, I believe it will become one of the favourite PLU clubs in KL. The location is strategic, nearby the Medan Tuanku monorail, at the back of the Sheraton Imperial Hotel. The dance floor however is not so spacious. A stage at the center divides the space into two smaller areas. Some smart renovation should be considered. Still, it's new, great club environment." -- jon_guy1, Oct 22, 2006
OTHER AREAS
"La Bear Café has reopened as a karaoke club under new management. The place is now more of a chill-out space than a happening place. Needs further decor and customers for it to be able to compete with Say Yes Karaoke." -- alexbam, Dec 21, 2006
"Cafe@65 is just behind Taman Maluri Jaya Jusco, one of the shops further down from AmBank. You will see a lot of chubs and chasers here. It's an open concept karaoke. But don't worry if you don't like to sing. You can hang out here and chit chat with the staff as well as customers who are very friendly. Lately they serve yummy finger food! Big crowd mostly during weekends." -- pjchiguy80, Nov 16, 2006
"There's a new karaoke place in Taman Maluri called Cafe@65, right behind Taman Maluri Jaya Jusco and opposite Sai Cek Kong coffee shop. It's mainly for chubs and chasers, but all are welcome. A lot of updated songs to sing. Very friendly staff as well as crowd. Drinks are at reasonable prices." -- younggun80, Oct 20, 2006
