        A short walk from Oxford St is the Beresford, which is a popular mixed venue throughout the week, but becomes the go-to spot for gay locals on Sun afternoon when the large beer garden out the back heaves with people from 5pm onwards. The Beresford also hosts the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Business Association and several LGBTQI special events at various times of year.

        Two floors of fun with two bars serving premium and imported beers and signature cocktails. Decor is self-described as "South American chic". Large screen music videos, upstairs dance floor. Has become extremely popular and its a prime location for parade viewing.

        A favourite of Surry Hills creatives and lovers of quality food and drink. It's multi-zoned funland of wine, cocktails, handmade pizzas and ce-cold beer. The terrace is the place to be in summer, underneath black-and-white-striped umbrellas with locally-made mortadella in one hand and a pre-batched Delfino Negroni in the other. Try the Dining Room for a dinner worthy of writing home about, or head to the Wine Room to sip over 300 wines by the bottle and 100 by the glass.

        Models, fashionistas, and glam wanna-bes (plus handsome staff!). Have a Death by Chocolate or Melon Matrix cocktail on the balcony overlooking Taylor Square. But, grab a choice seat early because this place starts packing them in after 10:30pm. The friendly owner knows many spots in the city.

        A short walk from Town Hall Station or Wynyard Station. This celeb magnet has four bars and two club areas. The Slip Bar has pool tables and Thai food, and the Sand Bar offers more privacy for chilling out. The garden overlooks Darling Harbour. The music is lush, the staff are brilliant and clearly enjoy their jobs. Plus, the food is great and the crowd worth oogling.

Attracts every kind of being around so it's also dished as being like the cantina from Star Wars (bitch!).

        Regular series of parties for LGBTIQ+ folks and their friends has become one of the city's most popular queer events, involving an eclectic mix of DJs, performers, and artists. Heaps Gay parties happen in all manner of locations around the city each month, including carparks, warehouses, and laneways. Check their Facebook page for details.
