Club Bath Philippines UTOPIAN VERIFIED JUL 2014, UTOPIA VISITED MAY 2013
2456 Harrison Blvd (at the corner of Valhalla St), Pasay City, Utopia Map, 833-2866, email. Almost behind Cuneta Astrodome. To get there, tell the cab driver: "Harrison street, Pasay City Hall" (the club is less than 100m away). There is no sign, but you will see an entrance on the corner of an old 2-storey stone house and a security guard. Manila's longest running gay sauna (since 1977). The club is beautifully decorated with homoerotic artworks, sculptures, fountains and lots of cozy nooks. First timers must purchase a membership card and you will also need to leave a photo ID at the front desk to enter. Choose either locker-only or room (reasonably sized with clean sheet on bed). Free amenities include large and small towel, plus a pair of rubber slippers (bring your own slippers if you have big feet). Condoms and lube are sold at the counter for P$50 (about US$1.25) or bring your own. Three levels. 1/F has a decent gym, TV lounge, free coffee and biscuits (drinks, instant noodles and toiletries are for sale), Net station, reading area, wet area with showers (a lot of action in the corner showers) and steam room (frequently cleaned). 2/F is where the rooms and hidden group play spaces are (check behind the emergency exit doors in the corners). There are some tiny cubicles on 3/F. There's also a small dark room where groups huddle. The place is relatively safe compared to other bath houses in Manila. Free Wi-fi throughout. Guys aged 25+ frequent here, many of them young urban professionals. Open 6pm-1am weekdays and 3pm-3am weekends and holidays. It gets busy after 9pm and is packed during weekends, but weekdays the crowd is less contrived. Safe to park in the area. Utopia Member Discount
Comments from Utopians:
"Club Bath Philippines (or, as I call it: 2456) is a nice place for both locals and foreigners. Some local taxis are actually familiar with this place. Look for 2456 on the building. There's a guard standing outside. Very nice decor and ambience. Three floors with plenty of space to move around. Book a room as the price is just a bit higher and, most importantly, you can bring guys back into your room. 1/F is more like a maze than anything. The UV lights make guys in towels look even sexier. A good recommendation as it is not too far from the city center." -- younggun80, Jul 1, 2014
