Saunas and Fitness for Men

    • Club Bath Philippines
2456 Harrison Blvd (at the intersection with Valhalla St), Pasay City, Utopia Map, 833-2866, email. Almost behind Cuneta Astrodome. To get there, tell the cab driver: "Harrison street, Pasay City Hall". The club is less than 100m away from Pasay City Hall. Manila's longest running gay sauna (since 1977). Small shower area, steam room. Gym on G/F. 2/F cruising area, mostly cubicles for rent (a cabin here is cheaper than staying in a motel). The walls and shelves are adorned with homoerotic art pieces. Open in the late afternoon until early morning, gets busy after 9pm. Utopia Member Discount

        Comments from Utopians:

"Club Bath Philippines is the most descent bath house in Manila. However, it is small and limited in facilities and fails in comparison to bath houses in Bangkok, Taiwan, and even Malaysia. Guys aged 25 and above frequent this area, most of them professionals. The place is packed during weekends. Although the best time to go is during weekdays as the crowd is less contrived. Locker amenities include a towel, a face towel, and a pair of rubber slippers. Slippers are mainly Asian sizes, so you might consider bringing your own. Rooms are reasonably clean as sheets are changed regularly when patrons exit. No condoms or lube provided, so bring your own. Three levels. 1/F is the gym and TV area. Coffee and biscuits are free. You can order snacks for a fee. The shower rooms have been renovated recently. There is a very small steam room that usually gets packed between 10pm-midnight. The steam room is cleaned every 45 minutes. 2/F is where the rooms are located. This is also where cruising takes place. If you don't have a room and would like to have some privacy with your partner, there's a small cubicle near the exit going down to the bathrooms. There are two smoking areas. One is an enclosed room with a window and the other is a balcony overlooking the main road. There are three free cubicles on 3/F, frequently damp with sweat and fluids. If you are sensitive to hygiene, better get a room. There's also a small dark room where groups huddle. However, be aware that the place can be a smorgasbord so you may get unwanted touches. Overall, a descent bath house for some quick action. The place is relatively safe compared to other bath houses in Manila. I suggest that you put this one on top of your list. To get to Club Bath, take a cab and tell the driver to drop you off near Pasay City Hall. The place doesn't have a sign, though. The facade is an old stone house and there's a security guard standing near its entrance. Best time to go is between 8-10pm." -- barnaby, Apr 1, 2011

    • Epitome
1922 Leon Guinto St (near Remedios St, off Taff Ave), Malate. A gay sauna located 5 minutes by taxi from the Malate gay area at Orosa St. This 2-storey establishment features a dark maze, individual cubicles, steam room, infrared dry sauna, jacuzzi, 2 bars, video room, large common shower area. Epitome is a private club and visitors have to buy a membership card which is valid for 12 months. Entrance fee includes a free drink. The crowd is foreign-friendly and very cruisy. Drag comedians/singers on Fri and Sat, and special shows every month. Clean. Staff are well trained, pleasant, and cute. Younger crowd during the weekends. Open daily, 7pm-2am Mon-Thu and 8pm-3am on Fri and Sat, and 3pm-3am on Sun.

        Comments from Utopians:

"Epitome attracts a younger gay crowd and, as such, more action can be expected. However, the facility is not well maintained, and has degenerated in recent years. The place has a jacuzzi, albeit a small one. Showers barely function and only two have private cubicles. There's a steam room but it is too dark and small for serious action. There's also a very small sauna that can fit just two people, and if you're Western with the typical built, you might not even fit at all! Epitome has three floors. The entrance is technically at 3/F since you have to climb two stair flights from the main entrance of the building. On 3/F is the small show area where gay impersonators perform and sing karaoke during weekends. Male strippers perform on occasion. 2/F is where the lockers are. You will be provided with a towel as soon as you step inside. From the locker room you enter the TV room. Walk further inside and you will see six rooms, which you can use for free. These rooms, however, do not have beds or mattresses so you have to be creative. I know these rooms used to have mattresses, but for some reason management decided to replace them with these odd shaped boxes. 1/F is the garden area where you can get drinks. Entry fee usually includes a beer or bottle of water. There's a dark maze if you don't mind being touched randomly by people you can't see. There's a jacuzzi that fits four people. Unfortunately, this facility is not maintained regularly so it tends to become murky and smelly later in the night. Overall, a nice place for action and the crowd seems to be more accommodating compared to Club Bath. However, the facilities are ill-maintained. It's a shame that management is unable to improve services to its patrons considering that the rate they charge is fairly close to that being charged elsewhere." -- barnaby, Apr 1, 2011

    • Fahrenheit Café and Fitness Center
1204 E. Rodriguez Ave, New Manila, Quezon City, 725-6699, 091-8900-8002, email. Fahrenheit is an all-male gay and bisexual membership club (no transvestites or transgenders). Facilities include a steam, library, audio visual room, karaoke, bars, jacuzzi, labyrinth with glory holes, mirror maze, and resting rooms. Amenities include safety deposit boxes, souvenirs, and snacks and drinks. Six accessible fire exits and fire extinguishers are provided. Bilingual staff (English and Tagalog). The club also conducts special shows and events with male strippers, drag, modeling and contests for Mr. Fahrenheit, Miss F Universe and Miss Earth Fahrenheit.
    • Queerosity Palace
1946 F.B. Harrison St, Pasay City, email. Gym lockers and safe deposit boxes, lounge and audio-visual room, cubicle rooms with beds, aircon VIP rooms with bath tubs, internet station with free access, baggage and shoe counter, steam, jabuzzi and bar.

        Comments from Utopians:

"Queeriosity attracts a young crowd, aged between 20-25. The place is better maintained than Epitome and has better lighting. It has a jacuzzi, but is rarely used since it's situated right next to the bar, thus making it too exposed. Shower area doesn't have partitions. There's a sauna that could fit about six people. 2/F has rooms which can be used for free by patrons. There are shower cubicles on 3/F as well. Two computer monitors are available for free Net. Situated in a mainly straight red light district in Pasay City. Its neighbor establishments are cheap, girlie bars and lots of hole-in-the wall eateries. Foreigners who might be intimidated by its location better come with a local when they visit." -- barnaby, Apr 3, 2011
