      Comments from Utopians:

"Spring Hotel is fairly well located and no problems with guests." -- hcmpp, Apr 25, 2010

"I have found a terrific hotel, the Freedom Hotel on 267 Pham Ngu Lao St, D1, near the Elios Hotel. It's very inexpensive. Not new, but clean and they have no problem with bringing friends back to your room (if the friend is Vietnamese he needs to deposit his ID card with the receptionist). The woman owner is a real darling and extremely helpful." -- james2010, Apr 23, 2010

"A friend and I stayed at the Asia Ruby Hotel, a new hotel located near the Vila bar and Apocalypse on Thi Sach Rd. The staff was very friendly, the place was clean and nice, and the breakfast was good. We both brought visitors back to our rooms without problem, though the visitors were required to leave ID at the front desk. On at least one occassion, when the visitor was leaving, the front desk called the room to inform that the visitor was leaving and to make sure everything was okay. That was a very nice and discreet touch. I highly recommend this moderately priced hotel. The same does not hold for the Asia Ruby 3, however, which is smaller and less accommodating." -- remolquedor, Jan 19, 2010

"Always a problem allowing locals to stay over in your room, you are stuck with smaller hotels really. Try Xuan Mai Hotel, simple but clean and very friendly." -- bijason28, Nov 11, 2009
