"I want to warn other gays about a scam being run over the Net. I booked a hotel called the Siam Thani. I paid 50% deposit. When I arrived it was not the Siam Thani but La Colonia, a hotel in disrepair. The Siam Thani has been closed for two years. The current owner, a NICE guy called Punya, informed me that the former owner, Art Groesbeck, who still advertises the Siam Thani, has nothing to do with the ownership of the new hotel. I had been charged B$3,300 per day for a suite when in fact the cost was B$1,400. This Art Groesbeck is running a scam." -- paora, Jan 13, 2006

I was told the swimming pool was closed for repair, but there was no trace of renovation. It looked like it was just abandoned a few years ago. Breakfast in the adjoining sauna complex is excellent as are the prices on the main food menu. The use of the pool and sauna facilities are a bonus unmatched in Pattaya.
