"I was very surprised to find wonderful resort with a gay French manager. La Veranda is a very nice and quiet place. All the bungalows are very discreet and peaceful. Good, low prices." -- williamkhmer, Aug 11, 2008
Comments from Utopians:
"Knaibangchatt is a dream come true. This perfect (and expensive) gay-owned boutique resort is unique. Several 1950s villas were restored and turned into an 11-room luxury establishment. Beautiful minimalist decor. Exceptional Khmer and European cuisine in the outdoor dining room, the most beautiful pool I have ever seen, a fitness center, and spa services on demand." -- top8guy, Nov 21, 2008

Comments from Utopians:
"Six nights I stayed at Aqua Boutique Guesthouse. Wonderful place. Late breakfast no problem, joiner no problem (they take your guest's ID and keep it, then give it back when they leave the hotel). The room was very nice and the staff is very friendly (and cute). Internet is fast, but there is a fee $1 a day. They also arrange tours of the city and my bus to SR. The owners, an English man and his boyfriend, are both wonderful hosts." -- Travel1234, Jun 23, 2009
"Aqua Boutique Guesthouse was nice, clean, and friendly staff are cool. So is the room service. Joiners are welcome but they must have ID. Great place, very safe, very up-to-date and nice breakfast. Late check out for free. A nice place for gay men." -- cool_smoth, Apr 13, 2009
"I eat in the restaurant here every Sun. The guys at Aqua cook a fantastic, full traditional Sunday roast dinner with all the trimmings. The food is very good quality and excellent value. The crowd are very friendly with a good mixture of expats, tourists, and a few traveling business people to talk with, share a table or glass of wine, so you rarely eat alone." -- gary284, Apr 10, 2009
"I stayed 4 wonderful nights in March. The rooms are luxurious, large and very good value. Andy and all the staff are helpful and very, very friendly. I can recommend Aqua to all gay and lesbian visitors." -- German-Guy, Mar 29, 2009
"Spent 5 great nights at the new Aqua Boutique Guesthouse. Nice, friendly staff, very clean and the rooms are really what they say - executive, big, with everything one wants in them. Cool food, cheap and nice room service. The manager, Virak, is one friendly man who helps you and is always there for you." -- ice_fire, Mar 19, 2009

Comments from Utopians:
"Sihanoukville's Independence Hotel is pricey, but a great venue for upmarket gays. Seriously beautiful beach, superb pool, good food, friendly staff who are really trying and a professional, Austrian manager. Too bad the Chinese Bank in Phnom Penh who own it won't make the small investments necessary to make it world class. But go anyway if you want luxe." -- top8guy, Nov 12, 2008
"Try the New World Hotel. The rates are good, the rooms are CLEAN and they even have a nice breakfast lounge. VERY gay friendly and fresh." -- wilcome, Jul 7, 2008
