  From Jong-ro main avenue, turn north on Supyo-ro, turn right at the 2nd alley, after 7-11. There are three Hotel Pop's there, this is a review for Hotel Pop #1. Modern, clean, inexpensive by CBD standards, free in-room Net and complimentary snacks and coffee in the lobby. Basically a love motel which means rooms are large and romantic, with two-person bath tubs in addition to shower, large flat-screen TVs, PC stations, and sound system. Each room has a different theme, including a Hello Kitti room. Front desk will hold valuables. Helpful, English speaking staff. No problem with guests if you take a double room. Bookable on Agoda.

  Gay-owned and gay-friendly guesthouse in a 200+ year old traditional house, located near Gyeongbokgung Palace in an art village minutes from gay hotspots in Jongro, Right next to the Metro and AirBus stops. Eight uniquely designed modern rooms, with private restroom, and Wifi. Truly serene, zen-like atmosphere in a quiet, traditional Korean neighborhood. The owner hopes that guests will truly feel at home.

  Take airport bus #5A which stops right across the street from the hotel. The best that can be said is that you can't beat the location: right at the Itaewon subway station, in the center of the gay scene and the foreigner-friendly Itaewon strip. Overpowering smell of diapers as you enter the lobby. Rooms are small, shabby, and have fruity decor (every surface has a different pattern and the bathroom sports a 1950s pink shower curtain). Expensive for the sub-standard quality (rooms are over US$100/night). In-room Net access for a fee (boo!). Why stay here when just a short walk down the road is IP Boutique Hotel with 22nd century hotel rooms for the same price as this tired place?

  A short walk east of the Itaewon Subway Station Exit 2. Pass two stoplights and the hotel is on the left before the 3rd stoplight. Ultra modern hotel. Reasonable prices through online bookers like Agoda. Funky, art-filled lobby. Rooms are beautiful, bright, and very white (hallways are oddly dim). Free in-room Net access. Bathrooms are very love-motel with glass and mirror allowing views in from the bedroom. There's even a mirror on the ceiling above the toilet (?!). Room safe, fridge and free water. Great location for the gay scene and opposite Equus gay sauna. Book a double for a larger bed and if you want to have a guest (elevators require room cards). Further east is Itaewon's new trendy fashion and restaurant distict.

  Gay-owned and welcoming to gay travelers so they might feel more easy and comfortable. With nature-inspired design and private double or twin rooms. It is located just a couple minute's walk away from Hongdae Arex (Airport Express Train) Station and Hongdae is well known as an art district of Seoul. The gay scene in Sinchon, Itaewon and Jongno are quite easy to get to by subway from the nearby station.
