Lapped by the blue waters of the Lombok Straits, just across from Bali, Qunci Villas is a peaceful retreat for gay and lesbian travelers -- a tranquil and relaxing haven on the beach where you can sun by the pool or snorkel amongst the numerous fish inhabiting the corals of the Indian Sea.

The resort offers 20 units on a beautifully landscaped beachfront property, with many units boasting an ocean view under swaying palm trees and opening out onto private outdoor garden bathrooms. The Villas are a mixture of modern architecture combining the architectural styles of Lombok and Bali. Designed by Joost Van Grieken, a renowned gay Dutch architect residing in Bali, Qunci Villas takes full advantage of the stunning views across exotic gardens and the brilliant, ever-changing hues of the ocean, with Bali's Mt. Gunung Agung rising in the distance.

The rooms are a spacious minimum of 40 square meters of living space, boasting all the creature comforts that travelers expect from intimate boutique hotels. The decor of each villa features traditional and natural materials in tropical harmony -- cool and refreshing natural polished timbers, warm and inviting textiles, comfortable furnishings, and art by some of Bali's famous gay expats (Donald Friend and Symon), all of which provide for a restful and relaxing ambience in a gay-friendly environment.

Qunci Villas is just 10 minutes north of Senggigi Beach town, taking advantage of Lombok's laid-back charm, tranquil coastline, and dazzling virgin beaches.

Like many popular venues in Asia, they offer a special discount to Utopia Members who show their member card.
