A manyao ba (soft disco/lounge).
On the 6th Rd of Heping Lu, a block away from Yue Gong bar. Lesbian club as of 2012.
When you enter lane 7 from Heping Rd you will find the bar on the left in about 20m. Active, with a good show featuring many singers and performers. Sat night is very busy. The crowd is mostly younger gays and a few straights.
On Xida Jie (West St), Taibaoji Xiang is the first major road with a street light, directly fronting the big Parksons store. On the right side going to Zhuquemen (Zhuque Gate), almost near the city wall and beside Feeling Hotel. The bar facade and door entrance is small and the prominent sign is lit at night. Underwent major renovation in early 2010 and looks more modern as a result, with well-lit and spacious interior. Additions include disco balls and LCD TVs showing video clips of hunks in provocative poses in each cubicle of its unisex squat toilets. Western dance music is also played more often. Staff are cute in their shirt and shorts uniform. Performances still include singing, lots of dancing, modeling, lip-sync and comedy skits in Chinese. Friendly, party crowd. When people are not in Yue Gong, they're here. Even on weekdays it's at least half full, but busiest on weekends.
The host is a hot dancer!
Look for four red lanterns and go down the stairs. Bar, KTV, Net lounge and massage. They advertize it as follows: 'cute guys accompany you to sing 24 hours a day.' Excellent show. Half of the crowd seem to be resident staff working there part time.
