The guestrooms have a separate entrance so you never feel like you are disturbing anyone and can freely come and go as you please. It's a little outside of Chaweng, so transportation is necessary." -- supermichel, Oct 31, 2006

Comments from Utopians:
"My BF and I stayed at Nora Beach Resort and Spa, the one close to the Samui gay beach, and we had a big fight with security guards there. They would stare and laugh at us when they saw us walking to the beach every day. We couldn't stand it any longer, so we made a big fight with them and their manager. They were so rude and nasty, asking us why we go to that beach and when I answered, 'coz it's quiet,' they laughed at us (they know what goes on there). So I just want to warn any gays who want to stay at Nora Beach Resort and Spa. Think again." -- anan, Dec 7, 2006
"While it is true that most hotels on Samui allow guests to being a friend back to the hotel, it pays to get this sorted out with the hotel first to avoid embarrassment. If a guest has booked a single room, the hotel is quite within their rights to request 'joiner' fees. Booking a double room from the start may be more convenient and cheaper than paying joiner surcharges. In some hotels, including bigger upmarket resorts, some reception and concierge staff operate a profitable side-line charging guests B$200–1,000 extra per joiner and pocketing the cash (they won't charge the extra to your room account and will not issue a receipt). They usually target gay guests late at night when there are few other staff around. Ask about the hotel's joiner policy when you check in and don't take the word of junior reception, concierge or room service staff. A few hotels may not allow masseurs to your room because they are trying to push their own spa/massage services. Leave it to the masseur to guide you, they know the scene extremely well." -- Only010, November 27, 2006
"We love to stay at Sans Souchi. It is a small place that is very friendly. It is one of only two places that has rooms RIGHT ON THE BEACH. The staff is very attentive and they will make sure that you are not disturbed unless you let them know ahead of time. Excellent service!" -- DarenJPDX, Mar 11, 2006
"I tracked down a fantastically gay-friendly, inexpensive beachside resort, Sukasem Bungalows. Having gone there now, usually twice a year, this resort with it's friendly, English-speaking owners is very highly recommended!" -- bigbumbob, May 4, 2005
